Why NPORS?

NPORS Training and Testing can be carried out on your site, if your operatives have completed an operatives Health and Safety test "Touch Screen" within the last two years they can have the CSCS Logo added, this gives them the Red Trained Operator card, allowing them to upskill, register for a level2 NVQ and once complete acquire a Blue Competent Operator Card, these last 5 Years and to renew the operator can renew by taking a category specific health and safety "touch screen test", should you or your sites  not require the CSCS Logo, a traditional NPORS card can be acquired these last 5 Years.

  NPORS offers the flexibility to carry out on site testing at your place of work using your own plant which is highly cost effective and a saving that is passed back to the client.  

We can also apply restricted duties should your operators not need a full duty card or site conditions not meet all the test criteria. Should you feel the need as an employer,  you can also request we restrict the operators to using the machinery only whilst employed by the company.  At Complete Site Skills  we understand every individual has their own pace when it comes to learning and can adapt to every individuals learning style. WHAT IS A THOROUGH EXAMINATION?

Equipment such as excavators, Telehandlers, Crushers, Screeners, Dumpers , must receive a Thorough Examination at least once a year, unless lifting persons this is reduced to six months. 

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) states:

"Thorough examination is required under health and safety law: LOLER 1998, which covers lifting equipment, and PUWER 1998, which deals with all other safety-related items, such as brakes, steering and tyres. Your regular inspections as part of a preventive maintenance scheme or scheduled service are not a thorough examination."

It is crucial to ensure that your Thorough Examinations cover both the lifting and the driving mechanisms of the equipment, because not all of them do. Some examinations only cover LOLER, which could put equipment, operators and businesses at risk, are covered and your needs are met quickly and efficiently,  as an added benefit we will also remind you when your equipment  is due a retest before it expires.  to ensure your equipment is compliant  not only with site requirements but with current LOLER/PUWER Regulations.

It is roughly equivalent to the MOT for cars.

NOTE:

All lift accessories, I.E Shackles, Chains, Slings, Manhole Lifters, etc and machinery lifting people must have a maximum mandatory inspection of 6 monthly Periods. 

Is your Equipment  Compliant with LOLER?PUWER Regulations ? 

Do you need a 6 or 12 Monthly LOLER/PUWER inspection certificate for your Machinery or Equipment?  Our mobile  Inspection Engineers will carry out a full  inspection to ensure all your lifting equipment meets the Lifting Operations and Lifting Regulations Act of 1998. As part of our Inspection Process, our Expert Engineers will make any recommendations for improvements, carry out any needed maintenance and issue certification to ensure your business is running safely.  We also work with other companies across the UK to ensure all areas A Thorough Examination is the name given to the mandatory inspection required by law to ensure that the mechanical parts of a lift truck are in safe working order. We can create a Thorough Examination scheme to suite the needs of your company to ensure you remain compliant.

We carry out brake testing in quarries on heavy plant and machinery including  Rigid and Articulated Dumpers and Loading Shovels, Tractors and Wheeled Excavators. Some of out customers require all wheeled Plant  to be brake tested to include forklifts,  telehandlers etc.  The brake testing equipment  gets calibrated by the manufacturer every year. We perform on-site brake testing around the UK.

The consequences of not getting your heavy plant and machinery brake tested in a quarry can be very serious. It can lead to down time in production, financial cost, injury to staff and the possibility of personal injury insurance claims.

• Brake ratio testing of rubber-tyre vehicles in quarries. Vehicles tested include Loading Shovels, and Dumpers.
• The brake test can be carried out on any gradient.
• The test system Displays and prints test graphs and results as required for Quarries Regulations.
• Individual Schedules to suit your needs, from once a year to every three months.
• Very little machine down time required to perform the test.
